Mealcrest helps hosts share food events and helps guests find them. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our website, host tools, guest features, community pages, and related services. By using Mealcrest, you agree to these terms for yourself and, if relevant, for the organization or dining concept you represent.
You may use Mealcrest only if you can form a binding agreement with us and comply with applicable laws. If you create or operate an account on behalf of a hosting concept, collective, or company, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
Account information must be accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring through your account.
Hosts are responsible for the information they publish, the quality and safety of the events they run, and the food, health, tax, consumer, licensing, and venue rules that apply to their work.
Guests are responsible for the choices they make, the information they submit, and the way they take part. Mealcrest may show events, stories, recipes, or host pages, but we cannot guarantee that every host-led event will be available, suitable, or meet every expectation.
Mealcrest may allow hosts and guests to publish stories, reflections, recipes, event details, imagery, video, and other material. You retain ownership of the content you create, but by publishing it through Mealcrest you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt for formatting, and otherwise use that content to operate, improve, and promote the platform.
You must have the rights necessary to publish your content. You may not publish material that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, hateful, invasive of privacy, or infringing on another person's intellectual property or publicity rights.
You may not use Mealcrest to abuse other people, scrape or systematically extract platform content without permission, interfere with platform security, distribute malicious code, impersonate another person, or use the service in a way that damages the integrity of the community.
We may moderate, remove, restrict, or refuse content or accounts that conflict with these terms, harm the community, or expose Mealcrest or others to legal or operational risk.
Mealcrest and its licensors own the platform, its software, design systems, trademarks, brand assets, copy, and other protected materials, excluding content owned by hosts, guests, or other third parties. Except as expressly allowed by law or by us in writing, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the protected parts of the service.
Mealcrest is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mealcrest disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mealcrest will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to Mealcrest, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You may stop using Mealcrest at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, harmed the community, created security risk, or exposed Mealcrest to legal liability.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use of Mealcrest after the updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
If you have questions about these terms, please contact support@mealcrest.org.
